Happy New Year 2020

Happy 2020!

Thinking of you on this holiday of opportunity. I am mindful of New Year’s Day giving us all the chance to set an intention for the year to come.

My intention for 2020 is to create a more joy-filled life. For me this means spending more time with the people I love, deepening relationships with everyone in my life, as well as creating art that inspires both me and you, dear viewer.

What intention might you create on this New Years Day?

I wish you and yours love, health, wealth, ease and peace in 2020.

Cheers!

As the Winter Solstice approaches, with the days noticeably shorter and darker, I observe the quiet both inside and out.  That magical in-between.  In discussing the impact of these silent days a friend shared a wonderful word to describe this in-between space; liminal.  Not being familiar I looked it up and found the second definition to aptly describe how the Winter Solstice feels.

lim·i·nal

/ˈlimənl/

adjective: liminal

2.
occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

Upon reflection, liminal applies to creating and sharing art as well; the artist crosses those magical boundaries to express what exists within and in turn share it with the outside world.

Here is to the beauty of the liminal, to art and artists creating this feeling state as we celebrate the beauty of the Winter Solstice!

Best Wishes,

Stefanie
